About the site:

Washingtonpost.com, the online subsidiary of the Washington Post Company, made its debut in June 1996 and has been going strong ever since. It is affiliated with Newsweek.com, BudgetTravelOnline, and more recently, Slate magazine. Jim Brady is the site's current executive editor.

The site has won numerous awards, including the 2004 Online Journalism Award for "Creative use of the medium" with an interactive package called "Defining the Barrier."
